ConferenceApp Privacy

The application named “OPT Lisbon 2017” (hereafter referred as the app) developed by BPM & SOA Solutions Architects S.L. (hereafter referred as BSS) allows users to view information and interact in conferences. Profile and feedback information is managed by Oracle and BSS. This information is never published or shared with other business or third parties except when otherwise indicated. The app does not store any sensible user information and the communication between app and backend servers is secured through SSL (https) in order to guarantee the protection of data exchanged. Permissions are requested when the application is opened for the first time, named: Location, Bluetooth, Contacts, Calendar and Camera as these are necessary for the application to function correctly. GPS and Bluetooth case are used in order to detect the check-in stands in a conference. The app gets Bluetooth IDs from authorized stands; the app does not store nor exchange MAC devices IDs  or GPS coordinates. Calendar and Contacts are required to add information when user requests instructs the application to do so. The app does not retrieve device information. Camera access is required to scan QR codes that app uses in order to exchange profile information between users. QR code does not hold private information and images scanned are not transferred nor stored by app but rather processed in situ.
